People Services Director
Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of co-worker relations and human resources operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and a family-friendly workplace environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Formulate and recommend goals and objectives for co-worker relations programs.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve co-worker relations and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Lead efforts to create an organizational environment focused on family-friendly policies and practices.
- Identify staffing needs and execute best practices for recruitment, retention, and talent management.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure HR strategies align with organizational goals.
- Supervise subordinate staff in recruitment, selection, and policy development, and oversee employee training programs.
- Investigate and resolve workplace concerns, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals, providing recommendations to leadership.
- Develop and manage the HR department’s budget, ensuring operations remain within approved limits.
- Oversee performance evaluations and make recommendations for promotions, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
- Direct the onboarding process and general orientation for all new employees.
- Lead recruitment activities, including outreach and collaboration with department leaders.
- Provide high-level communication and training on HR policies and best practices to directors and managers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of co-worker relations principles, practices, and HR management procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field.
- In-depth understanding of HR laws and regulations.
- SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) certification is nive to have but not required.
- Master’s degree in a related field is nice to have but not required.
