People Services Director
Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of co-worker relations and human resources operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and a family-friendly workplace environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Supports the company's mission and values by fostering a positive community and healthcare environment.
- Leads hospital and clinic policies on compensation, benefits, employee relations, and training.
- Represents the hospital in contract negotiations and manages labor agreements with legal consultation.
- Establishes goals for People Services aligned with hospital and clinic strategic direction.
- Builds strong relationships with senior leaders, providing HR consulting on workforce planning and organizational needs.
- Drives change using data-based insights and serves as a change champion for HR initiatives.
- Coaches senior leadership on conflict resolution, policy, and change management.
- Fosters positive union relations, administers collective bargaining agreements, and assists in contract negotiations.
- Analyzes employee relations data to recommend improvements and reduce turnover.
- Remains up-to-date on employment law and conducts training on HR policies and communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of co-worker relations principles, practices, and HR management procedures.
- In-depth understanding of HR laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of HR experience in a leadership role.
- Union experience required.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
