Key Responsibilities

• Manage all operations within the lighting department for a 24/7 live studio environment.
• Ensure efficient collaboration with studio directors, producers, and technical teams to align lighting setups with production goals.
• Establish and implement departmental policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.
• Coordinate with various production teams to ensure lighting strategies are seamlessly integrated into overall production objectives.
• Lead and support senior lighting technicians and other team members, providing guidance and oversight.
• Offer leadership, training, and performance reviews to create a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Oversee inventory levels and manage resources to meet production needs, often under tight deadlines.
• Drive innovation by collaborating with other departments, ensuring the delivery of top-tier lighting solutions.
• Ensure all lighting practices comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance schedules, and departmental operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex lighting or technical issues swiftly.
• Report regularly to the director in Bucharest on department performance and any critical issues.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in lighting technology to continuously improve operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a live studio or related environment, with extensive expertise in lighting operations.
• Deep knowledge of studio lighting equipment, control systems, and techniques.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices for live studio setups.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and evaluating team performance.
• Ability to inspire and guide a diverse team to achieve high standards.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, particularly when working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of collaborating with departments and reporting to senior management.
