Board level multi-physical system engineer (Cable arrangement) 1HC
Position Overview:
The Grenoble Institute is expanding its team and is looking for a Board Level Multi-Physical System Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation hardware engineering solutions. This role will focus on multi-physics modeling and simulation related to complex module reliability, cable management simulation technology, and in-situ nondestructive testing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate cable management simulation technologies for ICT product sub-racks, analyzing cable management in complex scenarios by considering mechanical and bending stress, while expanding the focus to include high-speed signals, stress, and reliability requirements.
- Undertake technical development tasks for cable simulation tools.
- Provide expert insights in the cable management domain and foster the incubation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with both local and Chinese teams to address challenges, and participate in the creation of specifications and design documents.
- Essential Skills and Experience.
- Fluency in English is required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of mechanics, flexible system integration, and multibody interactions, including friction and adhesion.
- Proficiency in multi-scale and multi-physical field simulation modeling, covering electrical, magnetic, thermal, and mechanical aspects, particularly their effects on high-speed signal integrity.
- Familiarity with cable simulation modeling tools (e.g., IPS) and industrial multi-physical simulation tools (e.g., Comsol), including knowledge of governing equations and material properties and their impact on simulation processes.
- Ability to work effectively both in groups and independently, with strong communication skills and experience working in diverse teams.
- Must be eligible to work within the European Union to be considered for this position.
- Fluency in English is required.
