Senior Project Engineer (Civil Engineering)
Job Overview
Join a highly motivated and dynamic team of civil engineers in Colorado as a Project Engineer. This role focuses on land development, municipal projects, and oil and gas permitting. You will play a key part in ensuring the successful execution of a diverse range of engineering projects while adhering to regulatory standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects related to oil and gas permitting, land development, and municipal infrastructure from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surveyors, environmental specialists, and engineers.
- Ensure timely project delivery, keeping within scope and budget.
- Prepare and submit oil and gas permits in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Oversee the design of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects.
- Prepare detailed site plans, grading, and utility layouts using Civil 3D and other design software.
- Collaborate with municipalities to meet project requirements for infrastructure, such as roads, water supply, and wastewater systems.
- Develop engineering solutions tailored to the needs of municipal projects.
- Maintain open communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Participate in meetings, offering technical expertise and contributing to project decisions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering calculations, and presentations for clients and regulatory authorities.
- Keep organized project files for audits and future reference.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 8-10 years of experience in municipal land development projects or a registered PE license in Colorado.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, MS Project, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to land development and municipal projects.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and lead effectively.
- Strong client relationship management skills with experience nurturing long-term partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for delivering impactful presentations.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with preparing proposals and managing project controls to ensure smooth execution and delivery.
