Project Engineer (Industrial Water Permitting)
Job Overview
Join a pioneering engineering team as a key contributor to sustainable and efficient industrial water permitting projects. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit water permit applications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage industrial wastewater treatment design and permitting, including NPDES for industrial sources
- Develop and implement SWPPP and SPCC plans for clients
- Provide water quality sampling, inspection support, and client training on compliance best practices
- Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members while preparing proposals and reports
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all documentation, managing multiple tasks with firm deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, focusing on water permitting and pre-treatment design
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office 365
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with air quality, waste management, and environmental due diligence is a plus
- Willingness to travel and work remotely as needed
