Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the unit while driving performance in production, raw material usage, energy consumption, and quality
- Develop collaborative relationships across various departments, including Operations, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Production Planning
- Implement lean/six sigma-based work processes to achieve safety, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and quality goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a pipeline of Six Sigma projects
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage production plans in line with Sales Order Inventory Planning
- Serve as a technical resource for Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Lead Management of Change (MOC) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to enhance safety and performance
- Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance for efficient execution of outages and support cost-effective capital projects
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing
- Familiarity with Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Minitab
- Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or Black Belt
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), Title V, and ISO 9001 standards
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues
- Proactive leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor others
