Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to oversee the erection, commissioning, and start-up of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) projects. This role requires expertise in copper and aluminum rod mills and SCR systems. The successful candidate will manage all project aspects, including planning, scheduling, customer coordination, and collaboration with sub-suppliers. The position involves international travel and offers opportunities to develop innovative techniques and provide customer training.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation and commissioning of SCR systems, ensuring operational readiness.
• Act as the site engineer, project coordinator, and start-up engineer for SCR projects.
• Develop new equipment and techniques to improve SCR performance, evaluating both hardware and software solutions.
• Transfer operational expertise to customers through training sessions, technical publications, and presentations.
• Provide guidance and training to new employees on SCR processes and systems.
• Suggest and implement process and equipment improvements to enhance SCR efficiency.
• Respond to technical inquiries from existing and potential customers.
• Prepare daily progress reports during system start-ups and field service visits.
• Produce detailed trip reports following customer visits to ensure clear and effective communication.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Proven experience in process engineering and project management, specifically with SCR systems.
• Ability to manage and supervise the installation, commissioning, and start-up of complex systems.
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical design documents, including vendor drawings and operation manuals.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and meet objectives.
• Flexibility to handle diverse and evolving project tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD (preferred but not required).
• Fluency in one or more languages such as Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian (desirable).
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%, with trips lasting several weeks at a time.
• Experience working with diverse international customers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills for managing project documentation, including procedures and manuals.
• Ability to locate, summarize, and effectively communicate technical solutions to customers.
• Planning and execution skills to manage erection and commissioning schedules.
