Sales & Business Development Manager – Automotive Energy Storage
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Sales & Business Development Manager with 3 to 8 years of experience in sales or business development within the automotive supplier industry. Based in France, this role focuses on expanding the local market for energy storage solutions, independently managing project sales, and providing strategic guidance for sales initiatives. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, market analysis, and hands-on client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expansion: Identify and develop opportunities to grow the local energy storage market, focusing on automotive-related solutions.
- Sales Management: Manage project sales independently, from initiation to closure, ensuring successful achievement of sales targets.
- Strategic Planning: Set sales targets, propose market expansion strategies, and implement action plans to achieve business objectives.
- Customer Profiling & Forecasting: Build and maintain detailed customer profiles, conduct sales forecasts, and gather and analyze market intelligence to drive informed decisions.
- Product Promotion: Actively promote energy storage products, tailoring marketing strategies to meet customer needs.
- Market Analysis: Analyze and evaluate trends within the energy storage industry, particularly for lithium battery solutions.
- Collaboration: Conduct internal training programs, support external technical exchanges, and foster effective teamwork across departments.
Requirements
- 3–8 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within automotive suppliers or the energy storage sector.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain key accounts for energy storage products such as large-scale storage systems (generation or grid side) or battery cells.
- Solid understanding of the energy storage industry and basic knowledge of lithium batteries.
- Experience in customer development for energy storage battery cells is preferred.
- Strong sense of responsibility, excellent teamwork, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to market expansion.
- Skilled in analyzing customer needs and presenting tailored solutions.
- Proficiency in English as a working language.
- Willingness to travel (40% of the time) to visit clients across the region.
