Content Moderator with Foreign Languages
We are looking for a Content Moderator with Foreign Languages to evaluate and ensure online materials comply with guidelines and policies. The role requires fluency in English and another foreign language, along with strong cultural awareness and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Review various content types, including videos, news articles, images, political advertisements, and social media profiles.
- Evaluate content based on factors such as age-appropriateness, level of violence, sexual themes, and political transparency.
- Apply content policies consistently to digital material and follow established handling procedures.
- Detect subtle differences in the meaning of digital communication and enforce the client’s terms of use accurately.
- Participate actively in employee assistance programs, reporting initiatives, and training to promote personal and community well-being.
- Escalate issues through appropriate channels when necessary to maintain performance standards and meet required KPIs.
- Follow security protocols, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to project requirements in all aspects of the role.
Requirements:
- Fluent English (C1) and proficiency in a foreign language (C1); must have strong grammar skills and be able to read and speak the language effectively.
- Preferred experience in a BPO, contact center, or content moderation role.
- Willingness to handle sensitive content, which may include topics like child exploitation, animal cruelty, gang violence, murder, hate speech, and other challenging material.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a focus on empathy.
- A deep cultural understanding and awareness of political and social dynamics in the country or region of the supported language.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
