About the Opportunity
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated professional to lead our Lighting Department. This role is essential to enhancing the visual aesthetics of our productions and ensuring that all lighting operations align with industry standards and artistic visions. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in lighting management, a keen eye for detail, and exemplary leadership capabilities to elevate our projects to unprecedented heights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all lighting operations in a 24/7 live studio environment, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with production goals.
- Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with studio directors, producers, and technical teams to ensure lighting strategies support overall production objectives.
- Supervise and guide senior lighting technicians and staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee lighting inventory and stock management, ensuring production readiness and coordinating with other departments for innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, managing equipment maintenance schedules and operational reports.
- Troubleshoot lighting and technical issues, report findings to the director, and stay updated on industry advancements for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (C1 level) with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A technical certification or degree in lighting design, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a live studio or similar environment, specializing in lighting operations.
- Willingness to travel to Romania for onboarding (2-3 months).
- Deep knowledge of studio lighting equipment, control systems, and safety protocols for live production environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring, performance evaluation, and motivation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable, and innovative, with flexibility to work varied shifts in a 24/7 studio setting.
