Role Introduction

We are searching for a dedicated IT System Administrator to join our cutting-edge team. This role involves overseeing the IT infrastructure of our organisation, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will play a crucial role in the administration of our systems, contributing to the success and operational efficiency of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of server hardware, operating systems, and software applications, ensuring alignment with internal policies and industry best practices.
  
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability on a continuous basis, proactively addressing any issues to prevent operational disruptions.
  
• Enhance system functionality through updates, performance tuning, and workflow improvements.
  
• Implement and enforce robust security measures to safeguard infrastructure, data, and applications. Perform regular audits and vulnerability scans, apply patches, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational security standards.
  
• Design, maintain, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and system recovery in case of emergencies.
  
• Deliver expert-level technical support to resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing IT projects, ensuring consistent and efficient system operations.
  
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, working to minimize business impact and maintain service continuity.
  
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals, ensuring infrastructure scalability and reliability.

 Skills and Qualifications

• Fluent in English (C1 level or higher), with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, particularly in large or complex IT environments.
  
• Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux server systems.
  
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Strong expertise in managing core IT services like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Familiarity with backup and storage systems like Veeam is advantageous.
  
• Solid knowledge of system performance monitoring and optimization strategies.
  
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  
• Strong communication and documentation abilities for clear technical reporting and user support.
  
• Relevant certifications in IT support, networking, or operating systems are a plus.
  
• Experience with streaming and broadcasting technology is a benefit.
