Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organised, people-focused Federal Project Manager. This role serves as a key project management resource, working closely with clients, Project Managers, and executive leadership. The Federal Project Manager will oversee federal project operations, ensure production efficiency and profitability, and contribute to strategic planning and proposal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary project management resource, maintaining ongoing communication with clients and Project Managers regarding contracts, current, and upcoming projects.
- Independently evaluate federal projects and assist in resolving any arising issues.
- Work with Department Managers to allocate resources and recommend appropriate staffing for federal projects.
- Oversee production efficiency, project profitability, and production capabilities on federal contracts.
- Collaborate with the Vice President to support strategic planning, proposal forecasting, and project management coordination.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the corporate Strategic Plan.
- Assist in the proposal review process for federal projects.
- Coordinate with Accounting to establish fee schedules for all federal contracts.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job training for new project managers.
- Maintain and participate in quality assurance (QA) standards.
- Conduct all duties in a professional and ethical manner.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Vice President or President.
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
- Professional Registration required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of project experience, including project management, staff supervision, and client relationship management.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience with NQA-1 standards is desirable.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
