CNC Machine Operator

About the Role
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture precision parts that meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing defect-free work consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers (3-5 axis).
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders accurately.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Monitor machine operations continuously and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Meet production quotas while upholding strict quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines (mills and/or lathes).
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Basic understanding of G-code and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or similar systems).
- Experience with tool offsets, fixture setups, and machine adjustments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
Nice-to-Have (Not Required)
- CNC programming experience.
- Experience with Swiss-style CNC machines.
- Certification from a technical or trade school.
