Regional Sales Director
Location: New York
Employment: Full-time
Compensation: Competitive base salary with commission and performance incentives
Core Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective regional sales plans designed to achieve—and surpass—growth targets. Includes ongoing analysis of market dynamics, spotting new sales opportunities, and strengthening relationships with established clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain positive connections with both current and prospective customers to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Remain informed about industry trends, competitors, and advancements in areas such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing.
- Technical Expertise: Exhibit strong enthusiasm for technology by staying updated on industry developments. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both internal stakeholders and clients, deliver persuasive presentations, and lead product demonstrations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across product development, marketing, and delivery to ensure the seamless implementation of sales initiatives.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver precise sales forecasts and reports to leadership. Analyze performance data to identify patterns and optimize future outcomes. Familiarity with platforms like Salesforce is preferred.
- Travel & Industry Engagement: Attend industry conferences and networking opportunities, with significant travel required for client and prospect meetings across the region.
- Lead Generation & Winning Business: Proactively source qualified leads, manage the funnel through to conversion, and secure business from large enterprise clients.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 8–10 years in client-facing sales roles, ideally within AI/ML, data engineering, analytics, or similar sectors.
- Skills Needed:
- Strong track record in relationship management and consultative sales.
- Innovative, goal-driven, and collaborative by nature.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, with polished presentation abilities.
- Hands-on experience using CRM and sales automation technologies.
- Demonstrated aptitude for analytical thinking and rapid learning.
- Ability to devise creative solutions to adapt in a fast-paced business setting.
- Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
