Senior Game Mathematician & Risk Analyst - Gaming Integrity, Fraud & Risk
About the role
We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Game Mathematician & Risk Analyst to strengthen our Fraud & Risk Department. This role blends deep mathematical expertise with operational oversight, ensuring fair play, system integrity, and effective fraud detection within a dynamic gaming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of analysts focused on fraud prevention and risk management.
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor transactional patterns, user behaviors, and system alerts to detect risks or irregularities.
- Review and improve the quality, consistency, and reliability of risk analysis and reporting.
- Manage live escalations, providing strong decision-making support in complex situations.
- Mentor and train junior team members to build analytical expertise and professional growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance tools, reporting methods, and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and contribute to team evaluations and performance incentives.
Required Skills
- Fluent English (C1), strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Degree in Mathematics (open to strong recent graduates with analytical experience).
- Solid knowledge of probability and statistics (distributions, expected value, correlation).
- Strong SQL skills (joins, subqueries, window functions, keys).
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, optimization).
- Familiarity with gaming operations, betting patterns, and fraud indicators.
- Proven ability to lead teams and make decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or similar).
- Understanding of performance metrics, incentive programs, and operational efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
