Position: AV Technician
Location: Bogota, Colombia (on-site)

Duties

• Install AV and IT equipment according to technical plans and project requirements for studios or facilities.
• Assemble and install professional video cameras with related components such as lenses, monitors, and power supplies.
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (video, audio, data) ensuring clean and secure wiring in studios and facilities.
• Install and organize equipment racks, network systems, video recorders, and other essential hardware.
• Manage various cables (e.g., SDI, XLR, Ethernet) by cutting, crimping, and testing for signal quality.
• Install studio lighting systems and accessories per lighting design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, or cabling technical issues to maintain operations.
• Work flexible shifts, including nights, to support operational needs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Native or fluent English (C2), both spoken and written.
• Experience assembling, disassembling, and troubleshooting computers, electronic systems, and AV hardware.
• Familiarity with multimeters, basic test equipment, and knowledge of AC/DC circuits.
• Skilled in component-level tasks including soldering and working with printed circuit boards.
• Proficient in installing and configuring Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Capable of setting up and configuring peripheral devices, drivers, and computer hardware.
• Practical knowledge of audiovisual systems with experience diagnosing equipment issues.
• Basic understanding of video cameras, microphones, and audio mixers.
• Strong interest in developing technical skills in AV, IT, or broadcast environments.
