Position: Back Office Officer (FX Industry)
Location: on site (possibly to work hybrid 3/2 following successful 6 month probation)
Employment Type: Full-time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform KYC (Know Your Customer), CDD (Customer Due Diligence), and EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) checks during the onboarding process for both individual and corporate clients.
- Verify and authenticate client documents, including identification, proof of address, corporate records, and, when applicable, source of funds or wealth.
- Conduct continuous monitoring and periodic risk-based reviews of client accounts.
- Detect unusual or suspicious activities and escalate high-risk cases to the designated compliance officer or manager.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Customer Support, Sales, and Compliance to ensure compliant and efficient onboarding.
- Keep client records accurate and updated in CRM systems and third-party onboarding platforms, adhering to data protection and retention regulations.
- Stay current with relevant regulatory frameworks and assist in updating internal policies as needed.
- Support the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for audits or regulatory inquiries.
- Participate in mandatory training on KYC/AML procedures and regulatory changes.
- Help improve processes by optimizing and automating KYC workflows to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native or fluent English (C1 level) with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Greek language proficiency is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in KYC, AML, or compliance roles, ideally within financial services, investment, or regulated sectors.
- Thorough knowledge of AML compliance, including KYC, CDD/EDD, risk assessments, and recordkeeping.
- Strong analytical and investigative abilities to assess client risk accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
- Experience with CRM systems, onboarding platforms, and AML screening tools.
- Understanding of corporate structures, beneficial ownership verification, and PEP/sanctions screening is advantageous.
