Position: IT Network Engineer
Location: On site, Belgrade

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide first-level support for network incidents and service requests, performing basic troubleshooting on network devices such as switches, routers, and access points from multiple vendors.
• Continuously monitor network performance, health, and security using standard industry tools, responding swiftly to alerts and taking necessary corrective measures.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of wireless networks, addressing connectivity issues to ensure reliable and secure wireless access.
• Analyze system and network logs to diagnose and resolve problems, conducting root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
• Support routine network operations on Windows and Linux platforms including DNS, DHCP, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Adhere to security policies and assist in applying access controls and compliance measures under supervision.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps, and update network diagrams and technical documentation as needed.
• Collaborate closely with network engineers, IT teams, and security personnel to address issues and ensure 24/7 operational stability.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native or fluent English (C1 level) with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support, network operations, or similar technical roles.
• Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Basic understanding and troubleshooting skills in wireless networking.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Competency in interpreting logs and using diagnostic tools to solve issues.
• Basic expertise in Windows and Linux networking environments.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like PRTG, Zabbix, or Grafana.
• Experience with additional utilities such as Wireshark or Nagios is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in teams.
• Capability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
• Exposure to cloud or virtualized networking environments.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation using tools like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
