Associate Technical Architect (Java)
About the role
We are looking for an Associate Technical Architect (Java) to design, build, and scale modern backend systems using Java and cloud-native architectures. This role is ideal for senior engineers who enjoy working on microservices, AWS infrastructure, and distributed systems, and who are comfortable operating at both hands-on and design levels. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to build resilient backend services that support enterprise-scale platforms.
What you will do
Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices
Build and maintain services using Java (11/17/21) and Spring Boot
Design and develop RESTful APIs
Work extensively with AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, and EKS
Ensure scalability, performance, and responsiveness of applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical and business requirements
Stay current with backend technologies and architectural best practices
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in Java 11 / 17 / 21
Solid understanding of microservices architecture using Spring & Spring Boot
Experience with AWS cloud services, especially DynamoDB and EKS
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Spinnaker)
Familiarity with Scala (and/or Python)
Experience with both NoSQL (DynamoDB) and relational databases
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
Experience with Docker, Kafka, Datadog
Experience deploying applications to AWS using EKS
Exposure to large-scale, distributed enterprise systems
