Magento Back-End Developer (E-commerce)
We’re hiring a Magento Back-End Developer to help build and maintain high-performing e-commerce solutions for a variety of clients. You’ll work on technically complex projects, collaborate closely with front-end teams, and support continuous improvements across multiple environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, switching between projects, and delivering clean, scalable code in a fast-paced setup.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize back-end features for Magento-based e-commerce platforms
Build scalable and clean PHP solutions following best practices and design principles
Collaborate with front-end developers to deliver seamless end-to-end implementations
Work with MySQL databases and ensure strong performance and stability
Use Git for version control and contribute through structured collaboration
Support and improve CI/CD workflows and deployment processes
Work in a Scrum/Agile environment (planning, delivery, retrospectives)
Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to long-term improvements
Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders
Take ownership of tasks and proactively support project delivery
Requirements
Dutch speaker, currently living in the Netherlands (mandatory)
Minimum 2 years of professional development experience
Strong knowledge of PHP and back-end development fundamentals
Magento experience is required
Solid understanding of OOP, DRY, KISS principles
Experience with Git and modern version control workflows
Experience working with CI/CD processes
Strong working knowledge of MySQL
Good Linux knowledge (experience with Nginx is a plus)
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
Ability to switch quickly between multiple projects
Experience working in Scrum / Agile teams
Strong communication skills and confidence in taking ownership
