Maintenance Foreman / Lead Maintenance Technician
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Foreman / Lead Maintenance Technician to join a busy industrial production environment. This is a hands-on position combining technical troubleshooting with the coordination of a small maintenance team. You will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment availability, resolving technical breakdowns and continuously improving the reliability of production installations.
Responsibilities
Coordinate a small team of maintenance technicians while remaining actively involved in technical interventions.
Analyse, diagnose and resolve breakdowns across a wide range of production machinery.
Perform structured root-cause analysis and escalate complex issues when required.
Monitor and register technical interventions using a ticketing system.
Discuss technical solutions with colleagues and participate in daily operational meetings and shift handovers.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the technical department.
Optimise format changes and settings on packaging machinery.
Support the installation and commissioning of new production lines.
Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce future breakdowns.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and technical quality standards.
Support the efficient day-to-day operation of production equipment.
Requirements
5-8 years of experience in an industrial technical or production environment.
Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanics, electricity and pneumatics.
Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial production machinery.
Experience with different types of drives, sensors and pneumatic components.
Previous leadership, supervisory or team coordination experience.
Experience with packaging machinery and format changes is a strong advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to remain operational on the production floor.
Ability to work effectively within a team and coordinate technical priorities.
Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
Availability to work in a 2-shift system.
